This summer, put your best fin forward and help us shell-ebrate sea turtles.  

We have many ways for you to learn about these incredible marine creatures.  Find out about some turtle-y awesome opportunities.

Sea turtle nesting season runs every year from March through October.  The summer months offer great opportunities to observe and learn about these fascinating ocean reptiles.

SHELL-EBRATE SEA TURTLES

Every season, thousands of sea turtles migrate to the Palm Beaches.  They search for safe places along the shore to build their nests and lay their eggs.  Afterward, they rest on the reef.

We observe different species of sea turtles on dives.  On the boat, we often spot sea turtle heads on the surface.  They come up for a breath before returning to the reef.

Have you seen wooden stakes while walking on the beach?  They mark vulnerable sea turtle nests.  Pretty soon, hatchlings will emerge and make their way to the sea.

2-TANK SEA TURTLE DIVE CHARTERS

Hop aboard a 2-Tank Sea Turtle dive charter. 

Drift over the reef on 50-60ft dives.  Admire Loggerheads lounging beneath ledges.  Observe hungry Hawksbills munching on barrel sponges.  Can you spot Green sea turtles amongst the others?  Shell-ebrate sea turtles underwater.

SEA TURTLE SUNRISE BEACH WALKS

Head over to the beach bright and early for a Sunrise Sea Turtle Education Walk. 

Shell-ebrate sea turtles by learning about their nesting habits.  Identify different sea turtle nests and tracks in the sand.  If you are lucky, watch hatchlings as they start their journey to the ocean.

Rise and shine!  Here are a few things you don’t want to forget for the Sea Turtle Sunrise Beach Walk. 

A $5 DONATION PER PERSON IS REQUIRED.  All funds raised directly benefit local sea turtle research.  Remember to bring along:

  • Hat and Sunglasses
  • Reef-Safe Sunscreen
  • Reusable Water Bottle
  • Camera

SEA TURTLE AWARENESS SPECIALTY

Learn how to identify different sea turtle species.  Practice conservation habits to preserve and protect sea turtles.  First, find out some turtle-y awesome facts in a classroom session.  Then, go on 2 dives to observe sea turtles underwater.
