We all know the age-old adage of “the early bird gets the worm”. But if you’re the early bird this month, you may just spot a…sea turtle?
Find out by joining us for our Sea Turtle Sunrise Walk on the beach with sea turtle researchers and conservationists.
A $10 donation is required from all who plan to attend. Funds go directly to supporting local sea turtle research.
Every year, thousands of sea turtles migrate to the sandy shoreline of South Florida. They’re searching for a safe place to build their nests and lay their eggs.
While sea turtles are smart — some navigate back to the beach they hatched on to reproduce and lay their eggs — they’re also vulnerable. It’s up to us to learn about these creatures and how we can protect them and their habitats.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn from experts from the Sea Turtle Conservation League of Singer Island.
Listen as they share their vast knowledge about sea turtle nesting habits and practices. Learn how to identify sea turtle tracks and the nests of different species. Ask any questions you have about these amazing creatures.
Bask in the early morning sun rays as they cast over Singer Island. If we’re lucky, we might get to witness sea turtle hatchlings as they emerge from their nests and start their journey toward the sea!
