Take your first step with confidence with helpful tips and suggestions to make the most of your glimpse into the watery world. An amazing experience for the whole family to share together. No age limit but participants must be able to swim unassisted.
PADI Bubblemaker
Kids bring your parents diving! For young adventurers like you, the PADI Bubblemaker program is an introduction to the thrill of breathing underwater. If you’re eight or nine years of age, now is your chance to take the plunge with a PADI Instructor and go pool diving.
Whether it’s a glass of milk, bubble gum or submerged beneath the surface – you can’t help blowing bubbles! So try blowing bubbles our way. Start out on the right fin, jump into the PADI Bubblemaker program today! PADI Seal Team
The PADI Seal Team is for young divers who are looking for an action-packed, adventurous program filled with exciting scuba “AquaMissions.” Have you ever wondered what it’s like to dive with flashlights, take pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an Astronaut? If you have, this is your chance to explore these exciting adventures in a swimming pool. As a PADI Seal, you learn the basics of safe diving and explore different AquaMissions – or specialty dives – like wreck, navigation, buoyancy, underwater photography, environmental awareness and more.

PADI Junior Open Water Diver
Young people can take the full PADI Open Water Diver scuba certification course and upon completion will become Junior Open Water Divers with certain age limitations for scuba diving:
- -Junior Open Water Divers ages 10-11 years old must dive with a PADI Professional or certified parent/guardian. Dives must not exceed 40 feet.
- -Junior Open Water Divers ages 12-14 years old must dive with a certified adult. (13+ years old can take the Open Water Diver course online.)
PADI Junior Advanced Open Water
Young people can continue the adventure and build their skills by taking the Advanced Open Water Diver course with a few limitations:
- -Junior Open Water Divers ages 10-11 years must complete three adventure dives to become a Junior Adventure Diver. They must dive with a PADI Professional or certified parent/guardian. Dives must not exceed 12 metres/ 40 feet
- -Junior Open Water Divers ages 12-14 years may complete three Adventure Dives to earn the Junior Adventure Diver rating or five Adventure Dives to earn the Junior Advanced Open Water rating. If they complete the Deep Adventure Dive it must not exceed 21 metres/ 70 feet. They must dive with a certified adult.
PADI Junior Rescue Diver
Young divers ages 12-14 rise to challenges and learn how to master them in the PADI Rescue Diver course. Upon completion, they become Junior Rescue Divers. They must dive with a certified adult.
PADI Junior Master Scuba Diver
Young divers ages 12-14 can continue building experience and exploring unique diving environments on their way to the Master Scuba Diver Rating. They must dive with a certified adult.
Pura Vida Divers is licensed by Florida’s Commission for Independent Education as a Professional Scuba Training Agency. Obtaining this license is rigorous and promotes a commitment to customer satisfaction above all else.
