WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
The Divemaster Internship Program features hands-on training in all aspects of a dive operation. In addition to weekly in-water activities, you will learn about:
- Crewing on boats with crew workshops
- Working as a deckhand
- Line handling
- Local dive site knowledge
- Gear knowledge and sales
- Gear maintenance
- Fill station operations
As a Divemaster Intern, gain experience as an in-water dive guide, and assist with classes. Develop night diving and underwater navigation skills. At the end of the internship, complete a resume and career workshop with our experienced professionals. This workshop helps you prepare for success in the dive industry.
AFTER THE PROGRAM
Graduates of the Divemaster Internship leave the program with an impactful letter of recommendation. Take advantage of job placement support within the dive industry to begin your career as a pro.
The focus of this comprehensive program is two-fold. First, refine the skills you learned during your Divemaster course. Then, combine them with real-world experience.
Divemaster interns don’t simply receive a certification. You gain the confidence and experience you need to begin your journey as a professional scuba diver.

DIVEMASTER PREREQUISITES
Are you ready to begin your Divemaster training? Sign up to complete an Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox), Rescue Diver, or other pre-requisite course now!
- Minimum 18 years old
- Completed PADI Diving Medical form signed by a doctor (MD or DO)
- Certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver
- PADI EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within the last 24 months
- At least 40 logged dives are required to start the Divemaster course.
