Join Pura Vida Divers and the Palm Beach County Diving Association on Saturday, September 21st to volunteer for the 2019 International Coastal Cleanup! In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, it’s even more important that we remove harmful debris from our reefs and the Blue Heron Bridge.
Volunteers can join us at 9 AM at Phil Foster Park to clean the shoreline of the Blue Heron Bridge. Certified SCUBA divers can earn their PADI Dive Against Debris specialty certification and dive the bridge, or hop aboard dive charter boat Marin to remove trash from offshore reefs.
Volunteers MUST register in advance. Participants will receive a FREE 4Ocean bracelet and a 2019 International Coastal Cleanup t-shirt! ALL cleanup supplies will be provided. These include buckets and bags, trash grabbers and gloves. Neoprene dive gloves, sea snips and mesh bags will be provided for divers. All ages are welcome!
Remember to bring a reusable water bottle, a hat and sunscreen. We recommend neoprene gloves for divers. Beach cleanup volunteers should wear swimsuits and closed-toe water shoes if you plan to get in the water.
