Do you enjoy diving with Sea Turtles? Can you identify the species with just a glance?
Then spring and summer time in Palm Beach County is the perfect time and place for you to dive. There is never a garantee that you will see a sea turtle, however, with five species seen regularly in our waters, you might just have the best sea turtle dive of your life.
Join Pura Vida Divers on June 11th for our PADI Sea Turtle Awareness Distinctive Specialty Course. Learn how to ID different species of sea turtles and how to interact with them in their natural environment. Also learn about some of the pressures that they are facing world wide and what you can do to help save sea turtles.
Special guest diver Dr. Larry Wood from The Florida Hawksbill Project will be conducting his Sea Turtle Education Day program in conjunction with this certification. Please visit Sea Turtle Education Day with Dr. Larry Wood for more information.
After our classroom session we will break for lunch before heading to the Lake Park Marina for a two tank dive trip aboard Sirena. We will dive two sites known for commonly seeing sea turtles.
Our PADI Sea Turtle Awareness Distinctive Speciality Course will include: your certification card, boat pass, two air tanks, a donation to The Florida Hawksbill Project, and a Pura Vida/ Florida Hawksbill Project “Riff Raff Hawksbill” t-shirt.
