During the evening and weekend course, the IDC combines two distinct Instructor classes in one program. The first portion is the Assistant Instructor course, followed by the Open Water Scuba Instructor program (OWSI). Our experienced Course Director prepares you for your Instructor Examination, which covers Confined Water Teaching and Skills Evaluation, Open Water Teaching and Rescue Demonstration, Academic Teaching, exams in PADI Standards and Procedures, and Dive Theory topics such as Physics, Physiology, Equipment, and more.
After becoming an Open Water Scuba Instructor, you will be able to conduct the entire range of core PADI programs from Discover Scuba Diving up to Divemaster. You may also choose to acquire specialty instructor ratings in areas of interest, such as Enriched Air Diver.
